(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Cù Bòcan Whisky Tasting, 03 February 2022. Hosted by GSC and Cù Bòcan’s Global Brand Ambassador, Scott Adamson).
Nose: Very light, sweet, peat, summer berries, cream
Palate: Very sweet, light peat, kids sweets, sweet dried fruit, mezcal/tequila, marzipan, toasted oak. A little funk and subtle smoke
Finish: Medium finish. Leather and oak. The peat really builds on the finish. Sweet and citrus on the aftertaste
2018 distillation
100% Scottish barley
45ppm
Disturbingly drinkable for such a high ABV (63.2%). Sweet and subtly smoky. Spirit forward as you'd expect from a new make, but already showing a lot of promise.
This wasn't included in the poll during the tasting, however many of the people on the session asked in the chat function if this could be made available to buy.
