When I ordered it, I had high expectations. When I read about it, The story was excellent, the distillery’s statement was unique and bold… and it didn’t cause any disappointment at all.
This is exactly what I looked for. Fresh natural, complex, stunning. You don’t feel the tiredness of the long maturation that sometimes you can get from a 12 years old drum.
In the nose you can smell the fresh oak combined with it the barley sugar, the flowers and the light see breeze with slight lemon zest. A drop of a water after that does the miracle: opens the second layer of the spirit and you can easily spend couple of minutes just to smell the new aromas….and keep smelling :)
After the first sip what you have in your nose, all the aromas will fully fill your mouth and gives you everything what you are expecting after the fragrance.
The finish is long keeping all taste components in your mouth. If you wait even for half an hour today is this still on your tongue. And you are really looking forward to try it again:)
This is full balanced, complex single malt.
