St. George Single Malt Lot 14
American Single Malt — California, USA

The nose is almost floral, almost like a triple distiller Irish malt. Once on your palette, it really changes to a cocoa forefront with a vanilla / honeysuckle, finish is almost like beer...a bit of sour in a good way. So far, I don't think I've liked any American malts (including Balcones, Westland, and a few other), but I did like this almost as much as a Scottish or Asian. A bit pricey, but definitely better than most American malts.

This is like going back to the beginning of creation. :)
@SolanaRoots wow, seriously?! I had these just two years ago, at about $60-70.
Cheers @PBMichiganWolverine - eager to try one of the St George single malts but they definitely play in a different price point arena. Looks like ~$200+ for any of the Lots & a mind-boggling $1800 for the 35yr anniversary offering
@SolanaRoots oh...I forgot all about this one!!! I change my mind—-Deerhammer / Stranahan’s / St George. Kicking out Westland 😊. ( not that they or anyone outside my little cloud here cares )
I really like how you’ve tried pretty much everything :) ...Interesting this distillery didn’t make your Top 3 cut (I think you said Deerhammer/Westland/Stranahans)
