Not a review — just a posting of the components and their volume % :
23yr Macallan first full bourbon, 12.1%
25yr Highland Park, Recharred hogsheads, 38.9%
25 blended scotch ,refill Sherry butt, 15.6%
25yr blended malt, refill Sherry butt, 29.3%
37yr Caol Ila , 4.1%, refill hogsheads
Impressively well aged. But close 50% is their own blend. Nice to see a well aged Macallan and HP in there, and in substantial percentage.

@dhsilv2 I assumed it was their standard blend. Any idea what’s in the blend?
The blend they're adding isn't THEIR blend, it's a sourced blend and actually, the whole reason this was made. The "blend" should be the show stopper... That said the abv is my only real issue. if this hits at 450 however, it'll be a deal. And Tobais retailed for about 500. Anyone asking 600 was marking it up as KENTUCKY had it for 500 lol. And we get screwed lol.
@Anthology I’ve not seen it in the US (yet). I saw it on the whisky exchange.com . I just saw my notes on Tobias here — seems like I paid around $400 or so. And five stars—-seems like they was well aged 30yr Caol Ila and Clyneish
@PBMichiganWolverine Doesn’t seem to have hit the US yet. Do you see it available on any of the US retailers (online or brick&mortar)?
@PBMichiganWolverine I think Tobias averaged $600 when it first dropped but some were also able to find it for less.
@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington was the Tobias more? I don’t remember —-I actually bought that one. It was absolutely amazing though…the sum of the parts were by far better than components in its case
@PBMichiganWolverine compared to Tobias that’s a bargain!! Some of the tasting notes I’ve seen suggests “old book” so basically paying for liquid knowledge.
@Anthology yeah—- about 3200 bottles globally i think
Haven’t heard of this one. Did it just drop?
@angstrom $450 or so
@PBMichiganWolverine what is the price? $400? $600?
@ContemplativeFox yeah…I wrote to CB and got these details. Was really intrigued and wanted to buy it…till I saw the price. If they come out with a sample, will gladly purchase it. I was surprised by the bourbon cask Macallan too, but I guess they were trying to add elegance and weight without making it into a Sherry bomb, considering 50% is already Sherry aged
Thanks for the details. That's an impressive mix! Odd choice to use Macallan aged in bourbon barrels though. I made the mistake of checking the price of this one despite knowing I can't afford to, so please excuse me while I go wipe the tears from my face.
