@pkingmartinmartin , @ctbeck11 @Richard-ModernDrinking and I had our quarterly online tasting. We had 4 pours …all amazing. 25yr Proof and Wood Light whiskey, Tears of Llorana tequila, Del Maguey Iberico, and a no name local only mezcal from a oaxacan distillery.
It’s seldom that I have a pour and immediately go out and buy it. This is one of those… just amazing, top tier whiskey. After our tasting, I literally went out where I had noticed this for $350, and bought it immediately.
The one word I would use to describe this is “honeysuckle “. I have honeysuckle growing in my backyard, and the spring aromas are amazing. This reminds me of those aromas. Floral but not light. Close to 55% ABV, but drinks Silky smooth with no heat.
Just amazing. I can count on one hand how many times I had a pour, and immediately sat in my car to buy a bottle. It’s less than 2…
Thanks @pkingmartin for the generous pour

@Anthology seems like Benash, in NJ, has it for $350 as well. That’s the lowest I’ve seen anywhere
@Anthology this was from Gary’s. They had just one behind glass doors. But a quick wine-searcher just showed me there’s few other places still having them. Just not at the $350 price — seems around $400
@PBMichiganWolverine Your rev moved this ip my list! Does the local store still have any left and if so, can you DM me website on Discord? 😉
@PBMichiganWolverine enjoy. To quote from risky business: “Sometimes you have have to say What the f***”.
@Scott_E it I never even heard of it till it got high praise from @pkingmartin and @ctbeck11 . I then noticed it here locally. After having it last night, I got in my car, and purchased it right away. Never done that before. Only 500 or so bottles, so not very common.
@PBMichiganWolverine never heard of this but your high praise has me extremely intrigued.
@Richard-ModernDrinking yes! Now that I think Of it , you’re so right —- Greek yogurt w/ honey , baklava…. Was amazing.
Just trying some more of this tonight and it really is delightful. Not only does the nose conjure up Greek yogurt with honey, but the palate reminds me of baklava - buttery pastry with honey and chopped nuts. Quite lovely.
@ContemplativeFox this needs to be on a must-try list
@pkingmartin I can’t believe I had to sober up by having some food and coffee ( after 4 drinks I thought my blood alcohol would be high), and then immediately get in my car to buy a bottle of this. It was that amazing.
Another fantastic virtual get together with incredible drinks and conversation. This one was a stunner for me as well with those big honeysuckle notes, low alcohol bite and rich mouthfeel. Glad you enjoyed it and are now a proud owner of 1 of the 500 bottles that were released.
Dang, there's a superlative review if I've seen one!
