[NOSE] Intense peat & wok-smoke that is integrated with honey and toffee. Quickly followed by refreshing fruity characters: apple, cherry, pineapple, persimmon. [PALATE] At 47%, this bottle is softer than I expected. Instant arrive of salted peat, which resembles charred rib eye steak: rich, juicy, buttery, mouth watering. Creamy texture with hints of sea salt, black pepper, dried seaweed, roasted peanuts, sunflower seeds. Well balanced sweet tones carried over from the NOSE: mainly honey & toffee. [FINISH] Charred BBQ/Peat smoke continues; distinctively smooth and mellow. Medium-long lasting flavors that give ways to tobacco, clove, incense. [COMMENT] Outstanding peated Scotch with incredible value. The peat character is on the more refreshing side. Incredible depth of flavors that is fairly easy to appreciate. This is ta FUN whisky.
