Southern Comfort (the current bottles now state that it is produced in New Orleans) has a clear, light tan appearance, with uniform alcohol legs. The aroma is of mild red apple and demure spices. The flavor is of cane sugar, assorted pie spices, and a faint, underlying spirit whiskey note. SoCo has a light body and a watery, not syrupy, mouthfeel. It finishes on a somewhat dry note, surprisingly. RJT
