The barley is strong with this one, making it reminiscent of scotch. Apparently the distillery is located inside of a castle, and the surrounding area is used as farmland, which is where they grow their own barley. That definitely comes through in this whiskey. Goes fantastically well with tortilla Chips and homemade guacamole.
If you are celebrating an Irish holiday, and you drink this right after a little Jameson’s, you’ll notice this has a lot more flavor, and a bit more bite. Slainte!
