Not a review— just a component breakdown:
Loch Lomond , 11yr, 2nd fill bourbon barel, 31%
Hedonism, 16yr, 2nd fill bourbon, 17.8%
North British, 24yr, recharred American oak, 36.7%
Cameronbridge, 24yr, Recharred American oak, 14.5%
Great to see 21+ yr olds, close to 50% of total

@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington I'm buying my stuff in Kentucky buddy, lol. Midwest :) DIdn't realize I hadn't reviewed this but mike and I have our review on youtube. I'll write up something before bed.
Neck pour. All cinnamon and coconut. Not sure this is my profile. Will give be it a little time.
@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington wow that’s steep. It’s got good aged components though , so should be quite the quality
@PBMichiganWolverine On the fact sheet for each whiskey, Compass Box has something that looks like the rings on a tree. I think this is a not so secret way to communicate the age of each whiskey. Many recipes of Hedonism, looks like most have a big component of grain right at 16 yrs. https://www.compassboxwhisky.com/dnl-pdf.php?fl=CBW_FactSheet-2021-HEDONISM.pdf
@PBMichiganWolverine found the Vellichor for $600 - steep but possibly the effective MSRP (unless you’re @dhsilv2 with his magic Midwest whiskey shop)
@Anthology sorry—-hit Post too soon…so, no idea on the original Hedonism age. I was assuming that was 16 too, but not sure
@Anthology yeah, totally agree—-seems young for grain. But, yeah—-that’s the official age I got from the chaps there at CB
@PBMichiganWolverine Any idea the age of the original Hedonism? 16 seems young for grain to make a dent.
@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington I’ve not seen it stateside yet— deciding if I should buy that or the Experimental, when it does show up
@PBMichiganWolverine $130 at my local store. I usually give a review after drinking most the bottle to judge how it opens up with time and how it affects me in a variety of moods. Might need to make an exception on this one…the people need to know!
@PBMichiganWolverine if pick up a Vellichor if I could find one… doesn’t seem like that will happen though
@angstrom looking forward to your review on it. What’s the price range you’re seeing on it?
@PBMichiganWolverine @ContemplativeFox I did pick this one up on a whim. Actually saw in the wild and figure if it got a few good reviews it would be gone forever. I tend to like CB and also lightly peated blends (JW Green, Buchanan Red Seal, Nikka WFTB). Seems like a safe bet on some old whisky.
@ContemplativeFox i’m waiting to see a few reviews —-not sure if this is a bust or not. Even their other new one, Vellichor, has minimal reviews. Which for CB is strange
Thanks for providing the information!
