Sorry if this goes against any rules... posting without actually having tasted...
Can someone tell me if I will be able to acquire a bottle of this at a normal retail price, or will this release be immediately relegated to the $300+ price point? Thank you.

@DJBeacon I'll be on the lookout for a bottle at that price. If I need to buy ONE bottle, and consider it my allowance for the time I'd buy four bottles, then so be it. Thanks!
The rule of thumb is about $10 per year of aging so this should be around 170. I grabbed one from the backroom at 185.
@MSauer If THAT'S the case, then I can count Old Fitzgerald among bourbons I'll never taste.
You’d be lucky to find it at retail. You need a “source” for that. The secondary is closer to $2k fyi.
@drjon0 Gotcha.
@Bourbonk $199 is retail on this bottle
@drjon0 Thanks for the info. I'm in the Los Angeles area. I've seen OF's previous offerings — safely displayed behind glass enclosures — at local liquor stores for anywhere from $399 - $599. $199 is not "bad", but it's not "good", either. I can't justify spending that much on ANY bourbon. Maybe if I hit the lottery. Ha! Cheers.
I have no clue where you live but this is the first and only Old Fitzgerald I have ever seen and I got it for $280 from a local liquor store. I believe $199 is retail for the 17 year? I know retail price for old fitz varies depending on age statement (as it should). It’s the only bottle of old fitz and I’ve owned but it’s effing fantastic
