This was a gift from some friends of ours that knew I'm a fan of different spirits and they thought it would be an interesting gift. Instead of going for a whiskey, rum or mezcal, they certainly ventured into some unknown territory with some craft limoncello to really surprise me. Who even knew craft limoncello was a thing? Alas, when life brings you craft limoncello, might as well dive into it and review limoncello. The nose draws you in with aromas of light yet creamy and refreshing lemon with light powdered sugar and vanilla florals that carries over to the palate with a medium and creamy mouthfeel with a perfect balance of refreshing zingy lemon that is balanced out with light florals and a powdered sugar sweetness before the short finish of light sour lemon and a mild vanilla taffy sweetness. This isn't a complex thought provoking drink, but a simple pleasure that manages to present a refreshing and crafty spin on limoncello that can be enjoyed neat or with a few ice cubes. Craft limoncello turned out to be quite the surprise as myself and everyone I've poured this for seems to really enjoy this.
