Deep copper color. The nose has maraschino cherry syrup, vanilla bean, toasted cinnamon stick, allspice and nutmeg. Oily, hot mouthfeel. The palate has more maraschino cherry syrup and toasted cinnamon stick, along with fresh baked bread, dried apricots and whole cloves, with hints of butter toffee and peppercorns. The finish is long, hot and peppery, with lots of oak tannins, dried fruits and baking spices.
