Nose: vanilla, caramel, somewhat mild
Palate: very nice caramel notes throughout, medium heat/spice on the tongue, oily mouth feel, vanilla, oak, hints of cinnamon & toffee.
Finish: wonderful oak and caramel notes that linger long afterwards.
Overall: Exceptional bourbon for the price, better than Blanton’s in my opinion. Hats off to Buffalo Trace for keeping this priced in the $40’s as they could easily have this up near $70-$90. This proves that whiskey prices are based not on quality, but rarity.
