On the noise I got nail polish remover. After backing the noise away from the glass I get cherry and grape, with hints of brown sugar, Carmel, and oak. The first thing I got on the palate was sweetness like green apple, some spice comes through mid palate like rye spice. The finish is short with mild oak and a little bitterness but not over powering. I would have to say I much prefer the double Oak best and would love to compare with other 90 proofers. Dare I say this is quite smooth and a good beginner pour, however this leaves much to be desired for seasoned bourbon drinker.
Tired with a little water and it helps take the nail polish away and brings out more cherry and green apples and green grapes. The palate tones down and the spice goes away however the bitterness becomes a bit more pronounced and I don’t think I like it as well as I do neat.
