Pepper and clove start you off when you take your first sip. The bite of the rye appears next as the barrel spices and oak hit you full force. The finish is long, bitter and earthy. A few drops of water really open this pour up nicely. It gives you a bit more charred vanilla, than straight up oak once it’s diluted just a little.
