Smooth, sweet start. Almost smells like caramel or butterscotch. Rich earthy tone once it hits the tongue. Strong after taste and feel that mellows out after a few seconds. I drank it neat, but a splash of water or an ice ball would open it up even better I think.

Forgot to add; the aged Japanese whiskeys are soon to be off the market as they can't keep up with demand. Soon there will no longer be aged Japanese whiskeys and only blended. Grab some when you can cause they'll be gone soon! (Posted 11/20/15)
