As much as I was raving about the extremely rare green corn version from these folks, this one here is the polar opposite. I had a single cask pour, so mileage may vary.
I couldn’t take the smell of it. Aroma of sewage and burnt plastic. I had the hardest time even taking a sip, just couldn’t get past the aroma. Taste was just as bad. Rotten green vegetables, spoiled meat.
Wondering if I had a bad cask, or something in it triggered a response in me…who know. But it was only a 1cl pour from a tasting set. Poured 90% of it down the drain.

I've never heard of this before, nor seen it in our market. Mercifully, it seems. Thanks for taking the bullet!
@PBMichiganWolverine 😂, that sounds like a tough one to top. Hopefully you never end up with another piss disgusted as whisky bottle again.
@PBMichiganWolverine Still, I sure didn't find that tasting set 🙃
@ContemplativeFox not really—-was a tasting set of 1cl pours
@PBMichiganWolverine I hadn't heard of the rainbow either. You've managed to find some rare stuff.
@ContemplativeFox that green corn will be tough to find I think. I have small 1cl pours of black, rainbow, and red corn. Will be interesting to try
Wow, really glad I got the red corn version instead. Never heard of the green corn one - will have to keep an eye open!
@pkingmartin no, I think that still takes the cake. With this, my first reaction was “ I got a bad cask”. With that Abhainn Dearg, my first reaction was “ damnit, someone, or some thing, pissed into this bottle and sold it as whiskey!! “
Does this beat the bear piss combined with roadkill barbecue scotch for your worst whisky of all time?
