Shieldaig 12 Year Speyside Single Malt
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland

Light fruit and ethanol on the nose, entry is copper and spice that quickly becomes bitter, and stays that way. No floral notes, water brings out more fruit, bananas and pears, but it fades quickly. Bitter peppery finish, the bitter won't go away. Might be tolerable if you drink it fast and not give it a chance to make an impression. Otherwise it is more like a 12 month old than 12 year old and not recognizable as a Speyside. Way overpriced, I'm glad I just bought a 50ml bottle.
