Nose: Delicious mixture of vanilla, cherries, caramel, and sweet corn - classic!
Palate: more vanilla and creamed corn mixed with some pepper spice and a nice oily mouthfeel - again, classic!
Finish: the spice continues through the finish, a tab bit of licorice, and leaves your mouth a bit dry - kind of let down from the nose and palate, but far from a disappointment
Overall: I think the 15 year has a leg up on this, but this is as classic a bourbon as it gets and is thoroughly enjoyable

@angstrom could be batch variation. I’ll have to see when I open the next bottle. Not sure how large the batches are. But I might notice then.
@DjangoJohnson I wonder if there is a lot of batch variation. My bottle of this was good, but nothing special.
This has got to be the best VFM out there, along with Dickel 13, and Russell 10
Keep hoping to find this some day….
I just had this recently and I loved it so much I ran out and bought a second bottle. It's going for about $60 around me, and for that money, I'm not sure I've had a better bourbon. The Maker's Wood series rivals it. But this is a damn fine pour.
