Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Bourbon

Nose is buttered toast, a pine/evergreen hint, oak. Fairly muted actually.
Palate is nuts, maraschino cherries, candy corn, caramel, bitterness at the back of the tongue, heat from the ABV, some vanilla. Mouthfeel is maple syrupy.
Finish is long and slightly numbing. In a blind tasting I’d peg this as barrel proof from the numbing sensation and not the ethanol taste.
Overall experience is a sweet nutty flavor for me. Not overly complex, but certainly not boring.
