Octomore 04.2/167 Comus
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland

Very nice combination of peat and sweet, like drinking ice wine and having a lemony dessert on a campfire. Has notes of lychees, sultanas, cake batter, lemon meringue pie, key lime pie, apricots, smoke, tar, bacon, iodine, cinnamon, white chocolate, coconuts, butterscotch, pineapples, mangoes, and passion fruit.
In the Octomore Fab 5, I rank them as OBA, Event Horizon, Comus, Orpheus, X4+10

@PBMichiganWolverine Event Horizon is the 2019 Feis Ile Bottling, aged 12 years in Oloroso and PX Casks
@worldwhiskies95 i really need to find mine…sounds amazing. Haven’t heard of the Event Horizon…was that some weird collaboration with a movie ?
@PBMichiganWolverine Tried the OBA at my friend’s apartment and at Bowmore hotel bar in Islay and it’s one of my all time favorites.
@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington i think I have the OBA (somewhere). I want to say that was one of their first, if not the first. Those were the days when I bought the “experimental “ Bruichladdich for a mere $80.
That sounds more flavorful than any Octomore I’ve ever tried! Wish these would materialize more often.
