Bitter & raw oak tannins dominate from taste to finish. The sauternes influence gives it a bit of a extra intense dessert wine flair but it is otherwise indistinguishable from the ugni blanc base. Sultana raisins, cedar, almonds, poached red apple, dried apricots, mild white peach, licorice, herbal, nutmeg, pinch of clove, an unusual nuttiness like a scotch ale. A tad too delicate compared to ferrand amber. Underwhelming.
