Nose: Unsurprisingly the sherry casks leave a heavy influence on the nose. Stewed fruit, lemon zest, malt squares cereal. Faint whiff of salty sea air.
Palate: Initial hit of brine. Milk chocolate, dried sweet sultanas, a hint of dark fruit like prunes.
Finish: The chocolate lingers for me, with barrel spice rising and falling. Leaves red apple as an aftertaste.
