High West A Midwinter Night's Dram
Rye — (bottled in) Utah, USA
Reviewed
October 20, 2022 (edited November 14, 2022)
Nose: mainly oak
Palate: buttery, first thought was “this tastes like gingerbread”. Very sweet. Rye and spice started to come out 20 or so minutes in.
Finish: a good deal of rye in the end
Really enjoyed this dram for my brother’s wedding down at Greg Norman Steakhouse in SC!

@PBMichiganWolverine I have a feeling that this will be the first year I don’t get a release (outside of Act 1). VFM.
@stoughty and these have skyrocketed in price. Their early versions were $60-80. Now you’re lucky if you can find less than $200
@PBMichiganWolverine, unsure which act/scene this was, as I didn’t get a chance to peek at the bottle since they sent the Glen straight to the table for the rehearsal dinner. First time with MWND, really enjoyed. Their Bourbon Menu: https://gregnormanaustraliangrille.com/menus/
Was this their recent Act 10? Their early versions ( act 2,3) were spectacular, and the cause of the hype today. They sort of fell off once Constellation took over ( act 4-8) , but started to show parts of its former glory in last year’s Act 9. Wondering if this year is a full circle or still “almost there”
