Very sweet, with a wine-y overtone that overshadows the pear flavor. Tried it in a Seattle Southside; totally lost beneath the lemon juice. Tried it in a Pear Elderberry Collins; also lost. On its own, it tasted like overly sweet wine with the faintest pear in the background. I dislike wine of any kind, so this liqueur was a huge disappointment, as I adore pears. For me, I think I'll just be using pear nectar in cocktails to achieve the pear flavor, and skip on the pear liqueur. If you like the taste of fermented fruit, with very little pear flavor, this Orchard Pear Liqueur might be for you.
