@worldwhiskies95 Hibiki 30 was pretty nice as well, although I almost liked the 21 a little more. Nothing beats Yamazaki 25 though, I am talking pre-2021 batches. Haven't tried the new version, too expensive. All my drams were at the distilleries in 2016 and 2019 (reasonable prices per dram back then).
@worldwhiskies95 @Slainte-Mhath Also tried Yamazaki SMWS 119.14 Raspberry Imperial Stout which is better than all of the other Yamazaki Sherry Casks I’ve tried.
@Slainte-Mhath The Yamazaki 25 is the one I have not tried out of the Hakushu 25, Hibiki 30 and that. Like Hibiki 30 the most of what I tried so far. If I ever get to try Yamazaki 25 I hope I try the pre 2021 sherry cask version then again I have tried quite a few sherry cask Yamazaki; Yamazaki sherry cask component of Hibiki harmony, Yamazaki Nobu Edition (this one is very old around rumors say it is 25-35 years old), Yamazaki 18 Sherry Cask Component, Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013 and 2016 editions.
I have tried that one at the distillery in 2019, not quite up to Yamazaki 25 if you ask me. Probably around 90 points, 2 points better than Hakushu 18. Nice review.
Thanks for letting us at least get a small piece of this likely masterpiece we'll never see or try! Love it man.
