Scorpion 6 Year Barril Mezcal Drammers Club Exclusive
Mezcal Extra Añejo — Oaxaca, Mexico

One hell of an aged Mezcal. Drammers Club picked this cask and 2 others in Oaxaca last year and this one has loads of berries, cherries, chocolate, maple syrup, honey, and a myriad of dark and tropical fruits with enough vegetal cooked agave influence to remind you it is a mezcal. This kind of reminds me of aged tequilas like Don Alberto, Codigo Origen, and Tears of Llorona. While this stuff is very nice I believe Nom 1146 tequilas like Tears of Llorona, Don Fulano Imperial, Tres Cuatro Cinco, and Fuenteseca are on another level with the way those manage to successfully complement barrel aging with the cooked agave presence.
