Nose- a berry basket! There is also a hint of esther-like rum barrel that gives it a bit of funk. Very nice nose.
Palate- Sweet with almost Fruity Pebbles Cereal notes. That cornucopia of fruitiness prevails with some ripe melon and bramble berries.
Finish- turns a tad bitter and is rather quick finish for the proof.
Overall- as I transition from American Whiskey to scotch, this fits the bill! The sweeter notes and the buttery mouthfeel hit the high notes. Opened my eyes a bit.

@angstrom I see it regularly in NC and KY at $100. Have you tried the A'bunadh Alba? I never saw it until recently, it's cask strength without any sherry.
@Zachary-Robbins I think all of these have disappeared! Aberlour around here doubled in price, and now has been missing from shelves for over a year.
@angstrom I've yet to see that, I figured the Aberlour was by far the most attainable.
@Zachary-Robbins Tamdhu Batch Strength is also fantastic and plays in the same space.
good tip. I will have to check that out. I am working my way into scotch slowly but surely. @Zachary-Robbins
Try Aberlour A'bunadh. It's the most similar barrel proof sherry finished Scotch but I think slightly higher quality.
