Gold Spot 9 Year Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland

Been quite a time since I've submitted a review. Life and the lack of any new acquisitions have kept me away. But low and behold the luck of the Irish has smiled upon me. I never thought I'd come across this recent Mitchell and Sons release so soon and for a fair price (for my region) to boot! Let us begin.
My first impression was quite satisfactory. The nose yielded a much appreciated plethora of complexities. These consisted of a mix of fresh oak, stone and tropical fruits first. As time passed, the aroma transitioned a bit to vanilla and baking spices.
My palate had its work cut out, but in a positive way. A strong fruit and wood spice flavor wave took hold for a bit. After which a prominent sherry wine essence emerged and lingered onto the finish. Mouthfeel was semi oily and dry.
I thoroughly enjoyed this and am currently on the lookout for the ever elusive Blue Spot. Once I succeed there, I will do a proper side by side with all the colors.

@PBMichiganWolverine Ha! Good advice all the same.
Sorry—-meant for @Spirited_Away
@skillerified the Blue seems elusive and outrageously priced in the US. Try the UK/EU online sites. With the stronger dollar, might be worth the shipping costs, if you combine with other things
