Nose: possibly more bananas than No. 7. Nutty, caramel, toasted macadamia nut. Some crystalizef maple.
Palate: Banana, peppery (maybe moreso than black label, even if it's smoother), distinctly charred oak. Overripe cherry (that I wouldn't have detected if not for another review), butterscotch, and vanilla.
Finish: the flavour last longer and with more depth, it's a bit smoother, and carried the nuttiness.
Mouthfeel: similarly oily, less burn but a more lingering heat.
Overall: can't say I necessarily prefer it. It's clearly been worked a bit harder and is smoother, but it also lacks the rough around the edges character you want from Jack.
