Aroma is pretty pronounced, has some sweet honey notes with undistinguishable floral with the peat hanging out in the background. The initial taste is a nice caramel, but the higher alcohol makes itself known. This gives way a a modest, but pleasant peaty taste. Kind of hits most of the notes, but not a ton of complexity. A touch of water brings a bit of pear and maybe some nutty notes. Good, but not amazing, but does make me curious to try some of the more aged Scotch’s from Talisker.
