I was gifted a 2oz sample from one of my bourbon brothers.... Typically I provide reviews after I've tasted an expression in three formats.... Neat, over a block of ice, and in an old fashioned.... Because this is a sample, and I only have one, I'm drinking this neat in a glencairn glass.... Honestly, I'm not getting much from this one.... It looks good, it has nice long legs after a swirl in the glass, it's decent on my nose, with hints of vanilla and soft wheat. On my palate, it is thin, has a little heat, but not harsh, again a soft wheat/grain presence is there just as on the nose. I hate I can't provide a better review for this.... I'm not blown away, if I were in a store that had all Weller expressions, with a 1 bottle limit... I wouldn't grab a CYPB, in my opinion. It's not bad, it's just for me. However, I would buy one for my bar as it would certainly add value and appeal.
