I admit, Cognac is uncharted territory for me and this is my first "real" experience. I grabbed this as it was available at the liquor store for Christmas as a gift pack. Here I go: White raisin nose arrives encompassed in alcohol and cinnamon and nutmeg spice. Initial arrival is sweet, brown sugarish and quickly dissipates to young alcohol. Finishes dry and oaky with brown winter spices. Warming. Not a bad experience for a whisky imbiber and look forward to more cognac experiences. [$40][Opened:12/24/15; 2/14/16]

Yes, I think this is a good entry cognac given the quality/price ratio. I wanted to explore other spirits and cognac interested me. I saw that it was affordable ($40) and since Distiller onboarded other spirits, I now had some reference. I thought I would give this a go. It works well as an after dinner spirit.
I've never had cognac...you'd recommend this as a good entry/trial?
