Annandale 2015 7 Year Old CS21 (North Star Spirits)
Single Malt — Scotland

(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, 04 February 2023).
Nose: Hairspray, furniture polish, slightly burnt plastic, dried fruit (plum and dates)
Palate: Spicy / crystalised ginger, black pepper, malty, dark dried fruits and sour dried cherries
Finish: Long finish. Sweet molasses, burnt caramel. The dried fruit notes brighten on the finish, becoming more sherried on the aftertaste.

Oloroso sherry butt
The nose on this is not great, burnt and artificial, but it comes into its own on the palate and even more so on the finish where it becomes far more sherried and bright. Not bad at all.
Came joint last out of the six drams, with 0% of the final vote for favourite of the night. 36% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky. There were two stand out drams that dominated the voting, so some of the whiskies may have unfairly suffered as a result.
