It was good, don’t get me wrong & I’ll have a bottle of it on hand in my home bar. But it wasn’t THAT good. Honestly, for my palate I would take regular Buffalo Trace over this any day. The oak, nutty notes were too strong in my opinion & it cut the sweetness out too much which is what I enjoy. I would take Woodford Reserve & Woodford Double Oaked & Russell Reserve Barrel Proof over this any day of the week. It just lacked the depth I enjoy & it certainly has that oak whiskey burn on the back end for a 90 proof. It was good. I’ll drink more. But I was slightly disappointed that I’m not adding it to my top 10.
