Tasted neat and neat chilled. Liter bottle.
Straw color in the glass and thin coating legs. Nose is floral, over-ripe grapes, and light grape syrup. In the mouth, tart to sour grapes and floral sweetness. Slight bitterness, but it doesnt cut the sweet-sour profile. Light thin mouthfeel. Finish is limestone minerality, dry, and still sour. Short finish but a light sour lingers.
There are so many good dry vermouths. This is not one of them. Carpano Antica is one of the best sweet red vermouths, but this dry cousin is not in the same league. Go with Dolin or Noilly Pratt.
