Nose: first notes are of a loaf of wheat bread, with some cereal grains, just a hint of honey, and some floral notes lingering under the surface.
Palate: more grainy on the palate, with some spice on the back end. Not much complexity other than that.
Finish: the finish is mostly pleasurable with the spice lingering for a medium to long amount of time.
Overall: obviously a younger whiskey with lots of grain notes and minimal complexity. It does have a surprising amount of spice. I was worried that the honey barrel finish would make this overly sweet, but you detect al.ost zero influence from the honey.
