It’s got a lot of character! It is a tad spicier then I like but it’s a unique bourbon, even though it’s spicy it’s not a burn. There is some woodsiness and I do think there’s a licorice in an anise flavor. I do not get the spice on the nose only on the younger which is unlike when I taste a spicy rye. It’s solid offering, it’s not a smooth easy supper though, it’s interesting though.
