Nose: Diluted antiseptic, sweet smoke, pear skin, stewed apple. Retro gives off some briny qualities.
Palate: Rich and slightly thick mouthfeel. Some oak wood spice. A touch of cashew.
Finish: Good length with flavours of pork sausage and sweet BBQ smoke, dried fruits like sultanas.
Drinks like a lower ABV whiskey but in a good way. The peat and sherry are quite nicely balanced. It won't excite those looking for a peat or sherry bomb but it ticks the box for anyone that enjoys those flavours.
