Oak-forward, then grass/wheat (“grains”). Adding 3 drops of water to the glass removes the “alcohol” influence on the nose and taste. It then reveals more of the “grass” & “grains” aspect of the whiskey.
There is a lingering, “high palete” (aka “roof of your mouth” impact that lingers after the taste & swallow of the whiskey. Considering it is only a 2year (+) Tennessee Whiskey, its not too bad. Personally, I prefer longer-aged whiskeys & bourbons. Overall, I’d rate it a “6” on a scale of “10”….just needing to age longer in the barrel (aka ~ “mature”).
