Official tasting notes from New Riff Distillery:
> Nose: Broad, perhaps extra dense and deep, very typical of New Riff Bourbon in general, airy and open, corn-forward, classic and aromatic, good spice from the 30% rye.
>
> Palate: Grainy, again with extra depth, whether to the extra age or the heirloom corn is hard to say. Balanced, juicy, the high-rye in superb balance with oak/age/corn, everything in the right place.
>
> Comments: New Riff's standard non-GMO Indiana-grown yellow dent corn is, in all likelihood, a distant descendant of the Yellow Leaming on display here. Yet the Leaming 1820s vintage heirloom corn seems to lend an additional depth of flavor, texture, development, and quality to our typical 65/30/5 recipe. An extra measure of density marks this Bourbon, together with a zesty, near-perfect balance of corn, spicy rye, oak, age—it's just one of the best Riffs ever!
