Decided to line up my collection of 5 Sentidos mezcals, as I just bought a new one to replace one that's almost empty.
This one is the Sierra Negra, which takes up to 15 years to mature, and was roasted with encino oak and acacia leaves.
I detect aromas of grass and wet leaves, and maybe some melon. Perhaps it smells a little like the desert after rain on account of the acacia. The palate is slightly sweet, with some melon, parsley, and a more vegetal and peppery finish.
