The Picasso of all whisky. Very much like Picasso I can respect this whisky although I don't really fancy it. It would be insane to deny this whisky the credit it deserves. The craftsmanship, character and spirit of Laphroaig shines through, it is an undeniable masterpiece! But like art, taste differs. This whisky is just to much for my senses. On the nose it is pure muscle! Wet leather, seaweed and sweat overpowered every fibre of my being. Peat ripped through my pallet in such a manner that I wasn't sure i would ever be able to taste anything else. The finish is the longest I've ever tasted! It goes to the back of your neck and will stay there until you wake up the next morning. In short, if you were to squeeze Chuck Norris, I am 100% convinced that juices left behind could be collected and bottled as Laphroaig 10 year old whisky.
