Nose really draws you in with strong vanilla and cereal. Smells like a perfect marriage of rye and bourbon. The flavours explode onto the palate with a spicy sweetness. It reminds me of a fruit salad where there are a bunch of different notes blended into something new. Vanilla, caramel, corn flakes, fresh baked bread and warm spices. The finish is hot and the sweet cereal notes linger. This is already quite good but does taste quite young. A little rough around the edges. With some further aging this has the potential to be a world class whisky.
