The nose is light, fruity, and pleasant at first, however, once it opens up more, it becomes more balanced with the same notes, in addition to wood and caramel. The palate is a nice balance of apple, wood, caramel, brown sugar, and fruit. It's certainly a little thin at first, but it is refreshing and drinkable. Again, I highly recommend letting this breath, significantly more so than most scotches, as it will fill out and gain complexity. Fitting for spring or early fall. In particular, I think it's excellent for April, May, and, especially, September.
