The smell does not reveal much apart from a welcoming breath of junipers transporting you directly to grasslands filled with ripe juniper bushes. The taste however does reveal an interesting blend of botanicals. There is nothing special about it - it's a proper london dry. I would have to be pressed hard to distinguish it from other quality gins. Listening to Learning to Fly, the high hopes of putting Old Pilot's in my exquisite list turned to a slight disappointment on this front. I would still recommend it. Not as smooth as high quality plum rakija, but does the job.
