Jefferson's Tropics Aged in Humidity
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

After a certain drummer themed bourbon channel recommended this i decided to give this a go. I still have a warm place in my hear from the days of Jefferson's Presidential bottles...being available. So hoping for good stuff.
nose - Well they added a boat load (no pun intended) of oak to a clearly young bourbon. This is different. It still has that kentucky bourbon feel vs say a Texas bottle. Light citrus...basic bourbon notes.
Taste - This is a flavor bomb. This is reminding me of a top barrel rick house single of some of these younger distilleries. Intense oak over youthful and still somewhat vegetal based bourbon.
Honestly it's a 1.0 but I'll give it a full .5 stars for the huge flavor and presence. But yeah...below average stuff, just a flavor bomb for those chasing more flavor but not that picky.

@PBMichiganWolverine I don't think this was a gimmick. The hotter climate really did add more oak intensity. The thing is, you need more age to make better bourbon. Or maybe more time there. They certainly have turned up the flavor from 6 to 9 here. But it's just not great flavor.
@ProofMercant If the bomb isn't good it isn't good. Do you want MORE bad? Now here it isn't bad. It's lower end bourbon turned up to 11 in intensity and I upped the score for that. I'd add, I score to a perfect 4.0 with over 4 being for the life changing whiskies for most. So maybe add a star or star and a half to be with normal graders. I'm happy to give .25 star scores.
Ive never heard the word flavor bombed paired with a basement level score. Odd review
@dhsilv2 i thought this might be a marketing gimmick. Those bottles that they age on ships, I thought Singapore was simply a port of call for it, and then would be followed by another port of call.
