Thick, woody spice is the first thing to hit, followed by toffee, nuts, marzipan, cloves, sherry, and a touch of leather. The nose is that of a whisky slightly older than this bottling's 23 years. Added cinnamon on the palate gives way to a bit of dark chocolate into the finish. Phenomenal stuff; 4.5 stars.
