Springbank 10 Year (Old Label)
Single Malt — Scotland

Traditional production, craft presentation and outstanding quality - it's hard not to like Springbank. Ever-changing, dense and complex, the nose is a true chameleon. Gentle peatiness, crisp apples and bitter herbs harmonize with sweet malt, old leather and mineral-earthy notes. Tasting strong, aromatic and spirit-driven (no rough edges), this young Campbeltown malt combines well-integrated peat smoke, mild fruitiness and hints of salt with a robust, substantial and chocolaty finish. It's simply one of the best core range releases you can find these days!

@PBMichiganWolverine Absolutely! I must admit that I have been hoarding these bottles myself, but all are meant for drinking. Flipping Springbank for a profite is a no-no. This distillery is still pricing their products very reasonable, and you should not take advantage of it. To open and share is the way to go.
@Slainte-Mhath amazing lineup! Looking forward to these
@cascode I have a pretty nice line-up waiting for me. I'm starting with the 10 yo, followed by two different batches of the 12 yo. Next, two different batches of the 15 yo (all sherry). Then I got the 2022 and 2023 batch of the 18 yo, different cask types. Still pondering if I'll also open a 21 yo, here we're into expensive territory. I also got the 2023 version of the 25 yo and 30 yo, but these are meant for special occasions. However, I will open Hazelburn 10, Longrow Peated, Longrow Red 11 Tawny Port and Springbank 10 Sherry Wood PX. I have to add that I got all these bottles at RRP at Vinmonopolet, so I didn't pay over the odds.
@Slainte-Mhath Good for you! I'm inspired now - time to open one of my 12 year olds.
My 2024 mission: to open and review as many Springbanks as I possibly can. Too many people are hoarding and flipping Springbank nowadays (if they can even get it), so it is time to open, enjoy and review these lovely malts. This one is a re-post from 2017, and I'll continue with a recent batch of Springbank 10.
Additional information: Tasted and reviewed in 01/2017 as part of the discontinued Campbeltown Malts Gift Pack (with Hazelburn 12 + Longrow Peated). The generous rating reflects my first impression of this iconic distillery.
