Blue Spot 7 Year Cask Strength Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland

After wondering for so long how they justify charging around $300/bottle for a 7 year aged Irish whiskey, I finally had a chance to try a pour at a bar.
Feel in love with the nose immediately. Vanilla, caramel, honey, custard, stone fruit, not a hint of ethanol. The palate is rich, with some chocolate, espresso, prune, with a long peppery finish with a bit of cinnamon and ethanol.
I still think the price is a bit steep, but it might be my favorite Spot (slightly edges out Gold Spot, haven't tried Red Spot yet).

I just recently saw for $199. Still couldn’t just the cost.
UK sites have it for $110-120. Tag another $60 or so for shipping
$55 seems pretty steep too lol. I guess it’s better than shelling out $300. Glad you got to try it. I was lucky to have found a bottle at close to SRP from TW (was still about $50 more) before the madness. Even TW has now hiked their price closer to $300. Insane!
